Where small caps earn their place

Small caps carry a quiet, editorial feel that the louder decorative styles can't touch. On Instagram, a small-caps display name reads as considered rather than shouted, and a small-caps tagline pairs beautifully with a single emoji divider. TikTok bios and pinned-comment replies use small caps when the creator wants even-height letters that don't compete with on-screen video text. Discord uses small caps for minimalist server names and section headers; X bios lean on small caps for brand names, genre tags and release labels where shouting in full caps would feel wrong.

Tips for cleaner small caps

Three letters in Unicode's small caps set have caveats: ꜰ and ǫ are drawn from less-common IPA codepoints that render on modern devices but may fall back to regular letters on older ones, and there is no dedicated small-caps x, so the generator uses the regular x to keep the word readable.
